Our Core Promise: Local Processing
UploadReadyPDF is architected as a client-side application. When you use our tools to repair or compress a PDF, the file never leaves your device. The processing happens entirely within your web browser using WebAssembly technology. We technically cannot see, store, or access your documents.
1. File Handling & Security
We differentiate between "User Files" (your PDF documents) and "Usage Data" (website analytics).
- No Uploads: Your PDFs are processed in your browser's memory. They are not uploaded to our servers or any third-party cloud storage.
- No Persistence: Once you close the tab or refresh the page, all processed data is wiped from your browser's memory. We do not keep copies.
- No Human Access: Since files aren't uploaded, no human (including our team) can view your sensitive documents.
2. Information We Do Collect
While we don't collect your files, we use standard web technologies to maintain and improve the service:
- Usage Analytics: We use privacy-focused analytics (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity) to understand how users navigate the site (e.g., "User clicked 'Repair PDF'"). This data is anonymized.
- Payment Data: Payments are processed securely by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. We do not store your credit card information. Lemon Squeezy provides us with transaction status and your email to deliver receipts.
- Technical Logs: Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, request time) for security and debugging purposes.
3. Payment Processing
Our order process and payment handling are conducted securely by **Lemon Squeezy**, our Merchant of Record. They provide the payment infrastructure, handle returns, and manage tax compliance.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
We use cookies solely for:
- Functionality: Remembering your session state (e.g., keeping your paid status active while you download files).
- Analytics: Understanding aggregate site traffic.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect the ability to download purchased files.
5. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Since we do not store your personal files or create user accounts, we have minimal personal data to manage. However, you have the right to request:
- Deletion of any analytics data associated with your IP (if technically feasible).
- Information about transaction data held by our payment processor.
